About this shop

We stock the paper we use ourselves — Tomoe River, Midori, a Japanese mill nobody has heard of — plus notebooks we bind in-house with a lay-flat stitch. Everything is tested with a wet fountain pen before it goes on the site, and we say plainly what feathers and what doesn't.

Delivery & collection

$4 islandwide, free above $60. Collection from Haji Lane Wed–Sun, 12–7pm.

Returns & refunds

30 days on anything unused and unwritten-in. Inks and nibs can't be returned once opened, for obvious reasons.

Sizing & fit

Notebook dimensions and page counts are on every listing. A5 is 148 × 210mm; B6 is 128 × 182mm.

Opening hours & replies

Open Wed–Sun. Messages answered same day.

Is the paper fountain-pen friendly?

Everything we stock is tested with a wet broad nib. Where a paper ghosts or feathers, the listing says so.

Do the notebooks lie flat?

Our in-house bound ones do — that's the point of the stitch. Some of the imported ones don't; it's noted on each listing.

Can I get it personalised?

Foil initials on any in-house notebook, $8. Add them in the order notes.

Do you refill?

We stock refills for every pen we sell, and we'll flush and tune a fountain pen free with any nib purchase.
