Getting in, getting set up, and the two consoles that aren't shops. One login runs three different products — a shop, a property agency, or a support-only desk — and which one you get is decided when your workspace is created.
If you're new, read Set up first. It's the only page that answers "what still has to happen before a customer can pay me?", and it works the answer out from your real shop rather than from a checklist someone has to remember to tick.
Create your account
The problem — Getting in, without a card.
Where — selza.app/sign-up
What you'll see
A plain sign-up card — email and password, or a social login. If you arrived from a Pro button on the marketing site, a gold card sits above it: "Your 14-day Pro trial is ready — create your account to start it — no card needed." That card is pure confirmation. Every signup starts the same 14-day Pro trial whether you came through a Pro button or not; there's no separate checkout and no plan to pick at this step.
Set it up
- Open
selza.app/sign-upand create your account. - You land on workspace creation — see Create your workspace.
- Coming back later?
selza.app/sign-in, and you land straight on Home.
Free and ProThe trial starts itself; nothing is charged when it ends.
Details worth knowing
- You are never asked for a card to sign up. Not at signup, not at the end of the trial. See Your 14-day Pro trial.
- One account, many workspaces. Your login can hold several — a shop and an agency, or two shops. Each keeps its own products, customers, Stripe account and plan. Switch between them from the picker at the top of the sidebar.
- A half-finished signup repairs itself. If your account exists but your workspace didn't finish saving, opening Selza rebuilds it in place and sends you on to Home rather than trapping you in a loop between the two pages. You won't get a second, empty workspace out of it.

Create your workspace
The problem — Currency, timezone and product defaults, sorted before you touch anything.
Signup never used to ask. Every workspace silently defaulted to SGD and Asia/Singapore — so a Malaysian baker's first product was priced in the wrong money, and nothing in the first run ever told her. One question here closes that.
Where — /onboarding, straight after signing up
What you'll see
"Create your workspace — each workspace has its own forms, customers, and Stripe account. You can rename it later." Three fields, and only the first is required:
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Workspace name | Your shop's name in the console. Pre-filled, up to 80 characters. |
| What do you sell? | Optional. Seeds defaults for new products and a starting shop look. |
| Where do you sell? | Sets your currency and timezone. Defaults to Singapore. |
Set it up
- Confirm the Workspace name. It's guessed from your first name — "Mei's shop" — or from your email if we don't have one. The field is focused and pre-selected, so just type over it.
- Optionally pick What do you sell? — five cards: Food & drink (cafés, bakers, home kitchens, drinks), Physical products (crafts, merch, fashion, gifts), Services (bookings, sessions, repairs, cleaning), Digital downloads (e-books, presets, files), or Something else (a mix, or something not listed). Tap a selected card again to deselect it.
- Pick Where do you sell? — Singapore (SGD), Malaysia (MYR), Indonesia (IDR), Philippines (PHP), Thailand (THB), Vietnam (VND), Hong Kong (HKD), Australia (AUD), United Kingdom (GBP), United States (USD), or Somewhere else.
- Continue. Your workspace is created and you land on Home.
Free and Pro
Details worth knowing
- "What do you sell?" only sets defaults for new products. It never touches anything you've already made. It also seeds a matching storefront template and palette, which you can change.
- You can change all three later in Settings → General → Regional. Nothing here is a one-way door.
- "Somewhere else" means USD, and leaves your clock in Singapore. Something has to render your dashboard's time of day; Settings is where you fix it. Don't leave it.
- The workspace name is not your shop name. It's the label on the console. Your customer-facing name lives in Products → Storefront.

Your 14-day Pro trial
The problem — Trying the paid features before deciding, without handing over a card to a company you just met.
Where
or the trial chip at the bottom of your sidebar
What you'll see
A small gold chip in the sidebar: "Pro trial · 9 days left", counting down to "last day". It links to Billing, where your plan card reads "Pro trial — 9 days remaining, then you keep the AI teammate on Free (a monthly credit allowance)." The chip shows on every console — shop, agency and support desk alike.
Set it up — Nothing. It starts at signup, needs no card, and ends by itself.
Free and ProThe trial is Pro. During it you get the generous AI credit bundle, a custom domain, and 200 minutes of voice AI.
What happens when it ends
You drop to Free and keep working. Nothing is locked, nothing is deleted, your shop stays up and keeps taking orders. Free is fully operational — see the two plans.
The two emails
| When | Subject | What it says |
|---|---|---|
| 2 days before | "Your Selza Pro trial ends in 2 days" | You keep everything in Free — nothing breaks. |
| At expiry | "You're now on Selza Free" | Still fully operational. Upgrade any time. |
Details worth knowing
- Selza never auto-charges you. No card was taken, so there is nothing to charge. Upgrading is a deliberate act on the Billing page.
- Each email is sent at most once, and only to the workspace owner. Upgrade before the trial lapses and you never get the "moved to Free" one at all.
- The expiry email knows what you run. An agency is told it keeps unlimited listings and enquiries; a shop is told it keeps unlimited orders and 0% fee on its own sales. Neither gets reassured about the other one's business.
- Expiring writes nothing to your account. Your plan is worked out from the date every time it's read, which is why the chip, the emails and your features can't disagree about whether you're still on Pro.

Home
The problem — "What needs me today?" Not a report. A triage list you can read in one glance between customers.
Where — Home (the first door in the sidebar)
What you'll see
On desktop, a wide gold hero card: a greeting that knows what time it is where you are, your shop's name, and a Pro badge if you're on Pro. Beside it, Copy chat link and Visit shop — the two things a seller reaches for daily, both live from day one.
On a phone, no hero at all. Your shop name and two icon buttons — Chat and Shop — ride the sticky bar that's pinned to the screen anyway, and the numbers start at the top of the page instead of 148 pixels of card telling you the time of day.
Then, in order:
- The AI meter. On Free, one line: your customer-assistant replies out of 150 this month. On Pro, your AI credit meter — and only once there's usage to show.
- Four KPI cards — Revenue · 7d, Needs action, In production, Due this week. Each whole card is a link to the surface that acts on it.
- Needs your attention — the triage list, capped at five.
- What's coming up.
- Share your shop — your 24/7 AI chat link and QR (live from day one, zero setup), plus your storefront link once you've published something.
- AI Sales — what your assistant has been doing in DMs.
How "Needs your attention" is ordered
Everything that can want you is merged into one list and ranked, worst first:
| Band | Why it ranks there | Ordered by |
|---|---|---|
| Disputed | Real money at risk, usually on a deadline | Oldest dispute first |
| Chats needing you | The assistant handed a customer to a human | Longest-waiting first |
| Overdue | Already promised, and late | Most overdue first |
| New orders | Not yet quoted or confirmed | Oldest waiting first |
Details worth knowing
- Five rows, total. Not five per band. A list of forty isn't a list, and you land here several times a day. Empty state: "Nothing urgent. Enjoy the calm. ☕"
- The "+N more" counts are exact. They're counted from your whole order table, not from the rows that happened to fit — and they split by destination: "+3 more orders →" goes to the Action needed tab, "+2 more chats →" goes to the Inbox.
- A disputed order appears once. Even if it's also overdue, it shows at the highest severity only, rather than being counted twice into two bands.
- Revenue shows no change indicator when there's no previous week to compare against. A new shop never sees a fake "+100%".
- Quick actions only appear once you've made a real sale — and only on desktop. Marketing pack leads, unless you have no storefront product yet, in which case Add product does. There's no point promoting a shop with nothing in it.
- The greeting is timezone-aware and has four moods: Burning the midnight oil before 5am, then Good morning, Good afternoon, Good evening. Set your timezone or it's someone else's day.
- AI Sales appears once your assistant has sent its first payment link — not once it's closed a sale. With a sale, it's the loud gold card. With links out and nothing closed, it deliberately quietens down and nudges you to spread the link, rather than making "$0.00 across 0 sales" the most emphasised thing on your dashboard.

Set up
The problem — "What do I still have to do before I can take money?" Before this page, the answer was spread across four other pages and you had to assemble it yourself.
Where — Set up (the door carries an N/4 pill and retires once you're done)
What you'll see
"Set up your shop — everything to get selling, in one place. Finish the essentials, then add the extras when you're ready." Two sections.
Essentials — four steps, headed by "2 of 4 done", or "All done — you're ready to take orders 🎉". Each step shows a live one-line summary of where you actually are:
| Step | Ticks when | Summary reads |
|---|---|---|
| Add what you sell | Any live product or order form exists | "3 live listings" / "Nothing to sell yet" |
| Make your shop yours | You've saved any branding | "Storefront personalised" / "Using the default look" |
| Connect a payment method | Stripe is onboarded or PayNow is fully set | "Ready to take payment" / "No payment method — buyers can't check out" |
| Share your shop link | Payments work and a link is out | "Customers are finding you" / "Pay-link ready — now share it" |
Do more with your shop — "Optional — turn these on whenever they fit." Offers, Bookings & services, Pre-order slots, and — where they're switched on — Marketplace and Delivery. Each carries an On or Optional badge and its own current state.
Set it up
- Work down the essentials. Each button goes to the real page that owns that job — this page owns no forms of its own.
- Watch Connect a payment method go amber the moment you have something to sell. It's marked critical because nothing else works without it.
- Finish, and the door leaves your sidebar.
Free and ProNothing here gates anything — it guides, it never blocks. Publishing is not plan-gated either.
Details worth knowing
- It's worked out live from your actual shop. There's no saved checklist, so there's no checklist state to get stuck, and a step can't claim you did something you didn't. It also means a step can go back off — archive your last product and "Add what you sell" un-ticks, because it reports what's true now, not a milestone you banked.
- ⚠️ "Share your shop link" stays unticked until payments work — deliberately. Handing out a link that can't check out is the trap this closes, so the copy-link chip stays hidden and the step's own summary tells you to fix payments first.
- "Do more" only lists what's actually available to you. Marketplace and Delivery are switched on by us, per region and platform-wide — so if they're not there, they'd have opened a dead page. Onboarding never points at a 404.
- The door retires, the page doesn't. Once the essentials are done the sidebar drops Set up so it stops shouting at an established seller. It's still there via Cmd+K.
- Home carries the same progress. Until you're done, a "Finish setting up your shop" banner sits on Home with the same N/4 and a progress bar. Dismissing it saves to your account, so it stays dismissed on your phone too.
Common problems
| What you see | What's happening |
|---|---|
| "Share your shop link" won't tick, but you shared it | Payments aren't ready — that's the gate. Or no pay-link exists and no order has landed yet. |
| A step un-ticked itself | You archived the thing it was reporting. It's live state, not a milestone. |
| Set up vanished from the sidebar | You finished the essentials. Cmd+K → "Set up". |
| No Marketplace or Delivery under "Do more" | They're not switched on for you. Nothing is broken. |

The first-run tour
The problem — Nine doors in a sidebar and no idea which three matter on your first morning.
Where — Home, on your first desktop visit. It finds you.
What you'll see
The screen dims, a gold ring lands on a real sidebar item, and a small card explains it. Three steps, a 1 / 3 counter, Skip and Next — the last one says Done.
| Step | Points at | Says |
|---|---|---|
| Start here | Set up | The essentials, and that the pill shows what's left |
| Add your products | Products | Your catalog and your public shop live here — orders, bookings, pay-links and forms live under Sales |
| Get paid | Settings | Settings → Payments: Stripe for cards, PayNow for fee-free transfers |
Set it up — Nothing. Skip it, finish it, or click the dimmed backdrop — any of the three ends it for good.
Free and Pro
Details worth knowing
- Desktop only. On a phone the sidebar is behind a drawer, so a spotlight pointing at it would be pointing at nothing. The Home setup banner covers that case instead.
- Dismissal is saved to your account, not your browser. Skip it on your laptop and it won't ambush you on your desktop.
- It won't run once your essentials are done. So an established seller signing in on a fresh browser doesn't get a tour of the three things they finished months ago.

Shop status — pause & reopen
The problem — You're away, on leave, or sold out, and orders keep coming.
Where
What you'll see
A status panel that reads as the mode switch it is — not a checkbox in a list. Green, with a pulsing dot: "Open for orders" — "Customers can browse, add to cart and check out as normal." Amber: "Paused — closed for now" — "Your shop stays visible and shareable, but add-to-cart and checkout are switched off."
The switch reads positively: on means open.
Set it up
- Flip the switch off. It saves instantly and toasts "Ordering paused".
- A Message for customers field appears — up to 280 characters, shown in the closed banner on your storefront. "Back Monday — taking a short break to restock!"
- It saves when you click away, not on a button. Optional.
- Flip it back on to reopen: "Your shop is open again".
Free and Pro
Details worth knowing
- The block is real, not cosmetic. Checkout refuses on the server while you're paused, so a stale tab or a saved cart link can't sneak an order through a hidden button.
- The message only exists while you're paused. It disappears from the page when you reopen, so there's no stale "back Monday" waiting to be re-published next time.

Daily sales digest
The problem — Wanting yesterday's numbers without opening the app.
Where
What you'll see
"Email me a daily sales summary" — "A recap of yesterday's orders and sales each morning. Skipped on days with no sales." One of three toggles on the Shop preferences card, alongside Tips and Let AI assistants list my shop.
Set it up — Flip the toggle. It saves the moment you touch it and toasts "Daily summary on". There's no Save button on this card. Off by default.
Free and Pro
Details worth knowing
- Nothing is sent on days you had no sales. No "you made $0" emails — the one design decision that makes a daily email survivable.
- It goes to the workspace owner's email, and lands in your morning: send time follows your workspace timezone. Get that right first — see Currency, timezone & business type.

Currency, timezone & business type
The problem — Prices in the right money, times on the right day.
Where
What you'll see
Three fields and a Save changes button. This is the only card on the General page with a button — everything above it saves the instant you flip it, which is exactly why this one doesn't: you shouldn't change your shop's currency by brushing a dropdown.
Set it up
- Business type — the same five as at signup. "Tailors the product editor and storefront to what you sell. Sets the default for new products — existing products keep their own type." Can be left blank.
- Currency — SGD, USD, MYR, IDR, PHP, THB, VND, AUD, EUR, GBP. "The default currency used on order forms and the storefront."
- Timezone — every zone there is, grouped by region, Asia listed first.
- Save changes.
Free and Pro
Details worth knowing
- Your timezone drives more than the clock. The dashboard greeting, calendar day boundaries, email send times and your daily digest all read it. Get it right once.
- Business type never rewrites what exists. Change it and your current products keep the type they already have. It only steers the next thing you make.

Where's my shop name and logo?
Where
Why it's there and not here — Settings is deliberately account-level only: who you are, how you get paid, what you pay us, and who's on your team. Your shop's name and look are things your customers see, so they live with the rest of the customer-facing surface. Four sections in Settings, and that's the whole of it: General, Payments, Billing, Team.
What you'll find there instead — shop name and web address, logo, brand colour, tagline and About, storefront template, hero banner, and your shop's QR code.

Team
The problem — Letting your staff help without handing over your password.
Where
What you'll see
"Invite teammates and manage their roles. Members share this workspace's forms, orders, storefront, and settings." Below it, the members panel: who's in, who's been invited and hasn't accepted yet, and the invite form.
Set it up
- Invite member → their email address → pick a role → send. They get an email.
- They accept, create their own login, and appear in your members list.
- Remove someone and their access is gone immediately.
Free and ProThere's no seat charge — team members don't change your bill.
Details worth knowing
- Whoever created the workspace is the owner. Everyone else is admin or member depending on what you picked when you invited them.
- Your account can hold several workspaces. Switch — or create another — from the picker at the top of the sidebar. Creating one there drops you back into workspace setup so the new one gets its own currency and timezone.
- Workspaces don't share anything. Separate products, customers, Stripe account, plan and trial. Being an owner of one tells the others nothing about you.

Billing
See 03 · Payments & money → Plan & billing for the plan card, upgrading, invoices and what a failed payment looks like.
Where
Worth knowing — Billing is one of the three settings pages every console has, shop or not. A property agency and a support desk both pay for Pro the same way, on the same S$29/month, and see the same invoice history.
Property agencies
A property workspace is a different product sharing the same login. It drops the whole selling half — no Products, no Sales, no Marketing, no Grow — because there's no cart, no order and no product. It keeps Home, the Inbox, the Assistant and account Settings, and adds three doors of its own: Listings, Enquiries and Agency.
On a phone, the bottom bar pins Home · Listings · Enquiries · Assistant.
What Settings looks like here — three sections instead of four: General, Billing, Team, plus Channels under More settings. Payments is gone — an agency takes no money through Selza, so a payments page would be a page about nothing.
The dropped doors 404, they don't redirect. Type /app/orders into a property workspace and you
get a not-found, on purpose: a hidden door is not access control, and landing on a real page with an
empty table and "no orders yet" reads as broken rather than not for you.
Your Home is its own page — not the shop dashboard with the numbers filed off. It shows:
- Get set up — a four-step checklist, with the blocking step called out at the top as a warning: Add your CEA details (required before anything can publish) → Add your first property → Publish it → Turn on your 24/7 assistant. It disappears when you're done.
- Live listings and New enquiries — two counts, each a door.
- Your 24/7 assistant link and its QR.
- Who's asking — your five newest open enquiries, flagged when they want a viewing.
Free and ProPublishing a listing is not plan-gated; the CEA gate below is the only thing that stops it.
Listings
The problem — One place for the properties you market — and the only thing your 24/7 assistant will ever say anything about. It cannot invent a fact you didn't enter.
Where — Listings
What you'll see
"The properties you market. Your assistant answers client questions from these, around the clock." A list, published first, then newest. Each row carries two badges: Published or Draft (can clients see it?) and its market status — Available, Under offer, Sold, Rented or Withdrawn (what's happening with it?). Those are different questions, which is why they're different badges. Under each row: the price, the key facts, the district — and, on a draft, "2 things to fix before this can go live".
Set it up
- New listing — a blank draft opens immediately. There's no "create" form to fill in first.
- Write the title (up to 160 characters) and the description in your own words. "Your assistant answers from this, so write what a buyer asks about."
- Set For — Sale or Rent.
- Set the price: Show the asking price, or On request — which shows no figure anywhere, and your assistant won't name one either.
- Fill in what you know: property type, bedrooms, bathrooms, floor area, price per sqft, tenure, district, floor, facing, address, postal code.
- Set the Status.
- Save listing, then Publish.
Free and Pro
Details worth knowing
- Price per sqft is yours to state. We never calculate it. A number we derived and your client disputed would be your problem, not ours.
- Sold and rented listings stay publishable. Buyers still search for them, and the assistant says so honestly rather than pretending the property is available. Only withdrawn blocks publishing — that's the status that means you pulled it.
- Hiding a published listing turns it back into a draft — "Listing hidden. It's back to a draft." Nothing is lost.
- Archive takes it off market and keeps its enquiries. An archived listing isn't public and your assistant won't mention it, and there's a Restore button on it whenever you want it back.
Works with — The publish gate, Enquiries
The publish gate
Where
What you'll see
A draft that's ready says "This listing is a draft. Only you can see it." with a Publish button. A draft that isn't ready doesn't show the button at all — it shows "Not ready to publish" and lists exactly what's missing:
| Blocker | What it says |
|---|---|
| No CEA identity | Add your CEA name and registration number in Settings — Singapore law requires them on every listing you advertise. |
| No title | Give the listing a title. |
| No price | Set an asking price, or switch the price to "On request". |
| Withdrawn | This listing is withdrawn. Change its status before publishing. |
Details worth knowing
- CEA leads because it blocks everything at once. When it's the problem, the Listings page says so once at the top rather than repeating it on all fourteen drafts.
- The assistant is held to the same rule. Its grounding drops any listing that can't resolve a CEA identity — so the gate and the assistant can never disagree about what's publishable.
- A published listing structurally always carries its attribution. That's the point of making it a gate: there is no path to a live listing without one.
Works with — Agency settings
Enquiries
The problem — Everyone who asked about a property — from the listing page or from the assistant at 2am — with their details and what they want.
Where — Enquiries
What you'll see
"People who asked about your properties — from the listing page, or from your assistant at 2am." Newest first. Each card: their name, a status badge — New, Contacted, Viewing confirmed, Closed — a Wants a viewing flag where it applies, which listing it's about (or "General enquiry"), their tappable phone and email, their message, and their preferred viewing window.
Set it up
- Read who asked, about what, and when they'd like to come.
- Tap their phone or email — it dials or opens mail.
- Mark contacted. Then Confirm viewing if they wanted one, or Close.
- Archive to clear it from the list without losing it.
Free and Pro
Details worth knowing
- ⚠️ Nothing is ever booked automatically. "Confirm viewing" is a button you press. Your assistant can take the request at 2am and it can tell the client you'll be in touch — it cannot put anything in your day.
- Contact details are stored only when the person agreed to be contacted. This isn't a policy we're trusting ourselves to follow: the tick box is required in the browser, refused again by the server, and refused a third time by the database, which will not store a row carrying a phone or email without a recorded consent. An enquiry without consent reaches you saying "No contact details — they didn't agree to be contacted."
- Consent is recorded with its basis — the ticked box on the enquiry form — not just as a flag.
Works with — Your listings page
Agency settings
The problem — The CEA attribution that must appear on every advertisement, in one place, once.
Where — Agency
What you'll see
"Your CEA details, and how your listings page looks to clients." A blue "Why we ask" note states the actual rule, then a card headed either Registered or Not yet complete — so you can tell at a glance whether your listings can go live.
Set it up
- Salesperson name and CEA registration no. exactly as on your licence — both required.
The number looks like
R012345A. - Optionally your Agency name and Agency licence no. (
L3000001Z). - Save. You'll get "Saved. Your listings can go live now."
- Under How your page looks, set your logo, tagline and accent colour.
Free and Pro
Details worth knowing
- A listing can carry its own CEA identity, overriding the agency default. Leave those fields blank on a listing and it uses what's here. Fill them in only where a property was genuinely marketed under a different agency — the override exists so an agent who moves firms doesn't silently re-attribute every listing they already ran to their new one.
- Your agency name comes from your workspace name, not from the Agency field. The Agency field is the licensed firm on the attribution line.
Works with — The publish gate
Your listings page
Your client — Browses your listings and asks about one at selza.app/r/<your-agency>.
What they see — Your agency name, your tagline, and your listings as cards. If your assistant is on, a line invites them to ask it anything — "it answers from these listings, and passes you to [your name] when you want a person." Tap a listing and they get its full page, its facts, an enquiry form, and the attribution line:
Marketed by Jane Tan · CEA Reg. No. R012345A · Acme Realty
Details worth knowing
- That line is rendered by the page itself, never by the assistant and never from anything an AI produced. Compliance can't depend on a model behaving.
- The page is themed to your accent colour and works in light and dark.
- Your listings are published as structured data, so search engines and AI answer engines can read them properly rather than guessing from the prose.
- Your Home links straight to it — "See what clients see" — but only once you have something published. There's no point sending you to your own empty page.
Works with — Enquiries, Being found by AI assistants
Support-only workspaces
A support workspace has no records of its own — no listings, no products, no orders. It's the customer-conversation half of Selza on its own: it keeps Home, the Inbox, the Assistant and account Settings, and nothing else. On a phone the bottom bar pins Home · Inbox · Assistant · Settings.
What Settings looks like here — General, Billing, Team, plus Channels under More settings. No Payments: nothing is sold, so nothing is collected.
The selling doors 404 rather than redirect, same as for an agency — a typed URL or an old bookmark lands on a clean not-found instead of an empty orders table pretending to be your future.
Free and ProYour assistant is capped by replies per month on Free, exactly as a shop's is — see the two plans.
Ignore all of it. You are not missing a feature, you have not failed to set something up, and there is nothing you can do to make that checklist tick. The two doors that matter — Inbox and Assistant — work perfectly. This is a bug on our side: Home was taught to recognise a property agency and give it its own page, and nobody taught it to do the same for you. It's on the list.
